Food & drink

Bisto has been part of family mealtimes since 1908, but the website was stuck on an ageing setup that had been stretched past what it was built for. It was a single-page experience with jump links, limited product detail, and no clear space for FAQs or the brand story. That made it harder for people to find what they needed, and harder for the web team to keep information accurate and up to date. Bisto needed a site that modernised the experience without losing what people recognise. Something that feels like the brand, works properly on every screen size, and gives the team a clean, scalable way to manage products, dietary requirements and nutrition information as the range grows.

A refreshed brand look with practical content management.

Bisto moved from a single-page, jump-link experience to a scalable site built on the wider Premier Foods design system. The design was refreshed with new typography and an AA-accessible colour palette that complements packaging, with navigation and layouts that work across breakpoints and support the full range, plus About us and FAQs.

Product and CMS experience improved most. Shared design system modules now support consistent product templates, including dietary and nutritional information. The CMS setup and training mean the web team can keep content accurate without developer support.

Shared system, brand-specific execution.

Bisto is rebuilt as part of the wider Premier Foods website system, with shared rules for layout and content modules. These modules are the building blocks of each page, making it easy to structure and present the right information. That includes standard components like text, imagery, video and carousels, alongside food-specific modules such as UK traffic light labelling and nutritional tables. The web team can update and remove content quickly, giving them a stronger, more capable platform for new products, recipes and promotions.
