ESP is the leading independent global IT solutions business, providing service desk and on-site services for a wide range of industries, in over 150 countries. When they approached us, they had been using their previous website for around 3 years and understandably, it had started to look tired and outdated. It also didn’t tell their story effectively anymore.
High on their priority list was to have their brand and marketing materials closely reflect the passion their team has for the high level of service they offer, and to also portray their global reach with the common goal of generating more leads. The website needed to clearly outline their suite of services and solutions and show good examples of their previous work, backed up by the impressive results they’ve achieved for their clients in their 25 years of business.
Although the logo wasn’t to change, we needed to create a brand look-and-feel which effectively told the story of their global reach and local presence. We achieved this primarily through the use of cool-toned, inspirational imagery depicting people at work and worldwide cityscapes. We also simplified the typography to ensure the message could be delivered in a clear and professional manner. We ensured this was the dominant theme throughout the website design, following an important UX/UI review of the current content and structure to ensure the new brand and corporate message could be delivered in a constructive manner. This quite naturally flowed into creating a unified suite of marketing materials consisting of a brand guidelines document, PowerPoint templates and corporate stationery.
The site is full of wonderful technology to give users the best experience. Drupal 8 was the chosen enterprise level content management system for this project as it is fast, easy to use, secure, SEO friendly and extensible. The site was designed with mobile users in mind, and subsequently is fully responsive to cater for the 25% of visitors on mobile devices. ESP’s international client base were also catered for with a clever geo IP detection functionality that was developed to display relevant, specific content to the international visitor. An on page SEO keyword and competitor analysis exercise had been undertaken to establish search audience and develop a strategy to drive more high value prospects through search, and lastly, the sites accessibility has been tested to WCAG 2.0 (Level AA) standard meaning it is usable by the large majority of the population.
