A user experience to appeal to parents, pupils and alumni, and information for holiday clubs, events and venue hire - quite a varied mix.

A full brand refresh and a new website to tell the story of Leighton Park's heritage and values.

Leighton Park School is one of the best co-educational day and boarding schools in England, perfectly nestled within 65-acres of beautiful parkland.

When we met Leighton Park, a new website was the only thing on the agenda. We discussed their requirements and created a brief. The website project was interrupted by an in-depth and enlightening rebranding process. The discovery phase involved an round-table briefing session, in-depth persona and sitemap analysis, and webpage wireframing.

With the homepage we used our new pattern library to enhance the design but not distract from the key user journeys. With the essential branding work having paused the website timeline, the deadline had become tighter and we looked at how to adapt our process to meet their requirements.

We adopted a modular approach to the website structure, allowing Leighton Park to choose which blocks would appear where in line with their content. Leighton Park were able to write their content at a time suitable to them and gain a higher level of flexibility for the structure of each page on the website.

We rolled out the design across a few key pages and our flexible module blocks, wrote an extensive rulebook for the modules to ensure we could preserve the design look and feel going forward, and progressed to the development phase.

"The website and identity work that Rouge created has exceeded our expectations. The school is enjoying a considerable increase in applications. Rouge went the extra mile to understand us and our clients."
