Invenias is the leading platform trusted by professionals responsible for executive search and strategic hiring globally. Their customers include executive search and strategic recruitment firms, in-house executive recruitment teams, and executive talent organizations within Private Equity firms.
Invenias’ previous website was out-dated and no longer represented their business, given their growth in the years since its creation. Their bugbears with their existing website were busy page layouts, a confusing menu system and a lack of clear call-to-actions. What’s more, they felt the imagery was too obviously stock-like and their case studies area was not helping their SEO strategy by being predominantly PDF downloads as opposed to dynamic content.
We set about addressing these challenges and creating a new website which would be more benefit-lead and promote Invenias as the market leader. With a logo and brand colouring already in place, we needed to focus primarily on the messaging, placement of content and an imagery style that would reflect the global nature of their work. As a result, our first task was to undertake an in-depth analysis of their current site structure and produce a new sitemap and a series of content wireframes to ensure their users would have a smooth user journey.
Following this, to ensure the content was easy to read, we created a much lighter and spacious design with multiple types of content per page – text, image, videos, iconography and contact forms – to keep the user engaged. We also created a news, events and blogging area for them to keep their clients up to date, and extracted the content from their PDF case studies into a content-manageable in-page area to help boost their all-important SEO presence.
When it came to the development, we became an extended development team, partnering with Invenias’. Net developers to deliver compliant, accessible, responsive front-end code that was integrated into an Umbraco CMS website.
Since launch we’ve seen a 42% decrease in visitor bounce rate and a 46% increase in the number of pages per visitor session.
