What we did:

Enviromena is the leading transformative energy company in the Middle East and North Africa. With one of the broadest footprints of clean energy projects, spanning nine countries in the MENA region, the company has installed more than 17,000 solar systems and has the largest portfolio of solar rooftops in the Gulf Cooperation Council.

Being the best in their field meant Enviromena needed a new website that would not only reflect their growing reputation and the superior quality of their product but also to compete visually with the likes of Tesla and Apple.

With this in mind, it was clear that imagery was going play a prominent role in meeting their brief. As is often the case, Enviromena had some of their own images but they weren’t quite up to the quality required to achieve the look they desired. In order to get over this hurdle, we took their best images and worked in Photoshop to manipulate and enhance the content to bring them up to scratch. For the images we couldn’t improve, we searched a multitude of stock libraries to find something similar to act as a substitute.

For the remainder of the site, the key focus was to create a light and clean look-and-feel which made the text content easy to digest. We designed a core theme based on their existing brand colours and created the relevant content outlets – a project portfolio, news area and contact details supported by dynamic Google Maps – through which their corporate message could be effectively delivered.

Because of the relative simplicity of the site and the need to deliver the project quickly, WordPress was chosen as the technology platform and content management system. The client is based in the United Arab Emirates and so face-to-face training was not possible, again making WordPress and its intuitive content administration the obvious choice.

The site supports Arabic text and the built-in blogging functionality makes the active news area a powerful communication tool for the company and reinforces their industry leader status.
