Rouge is a flexible digital creative agency that uses a whole variety of programming technologies to create the right solution for you. Wherever possible we use open source, non-complied code that is standardised, validated and well commented. Rouge will never deliberately hide code or use technology that makes life difficult for other developers.
We also don’t believe that tying you into a complex system or a long contract is good business. Working this way means we are free to use the most appropriate programming language or technology to best achieve your business objective.
All the websites that Rouge produce are built using standardised XHTML and CSS. XHTML is the page mark-up language that tells your browser how to display the content. CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) are the instructions that tell the browser, mobile device, printer, screen reader, or any other device, what the pages should look like.
We were brought up on text editors long before GUI’s (graphical user interface), like Adobe’s Dreamweaver, were developed. We believe that our code should be as beautiful as our visual design!
