PMB make colour masterbatches. In other words, they create granules of concentrated coloured plastic that are used to deliver consistent colour to plastic products. For example, they make sure that all the lids on Nescafe Gold are the correct gold, and the blue of a VO5 shampoo bottle is always exactly the same blue. Consistent and repeatable colour.
If you need a colour sample created PMB will manufacture a colour plaque for you. It’s a bit like a Pantone swatch, but made from plastic. It was this plaque that gave us the inspiration for the visual branding on the site. Seeing as though colour is PMBs currency we felt the site needed a serious injection on colour. PMB’s strapline of ‘no one gets closer’ is displayed with a series of illustrated colour icons from nature. The blue tail feathers on a humming bird, the red cap of a toadstool, the orange flame of an autumn maple leaf. The trick was to create a sense of colour balance and control, not to make it look like a bag of boiled sweets.
