ARB
ARB is a translation and copywriting business. They sell themselves as having a ‘passion for words’. In other words, they specialise in translating the meaning, not just the words from the original text, and with a very specific attention to cultural details. Our job was to take this obvious passion and translate it into a website to promote their services.
The solution was to get visual, with broad striking images of world landmarks. The trick was to keep a visual a theme running through them so that the images all had a similar feel. We achieved this by using unusual crops and compositions, as well as matching the lighting - these are not postcard pics. With a clever little bit of Flash web design running behind the scenes the main image panel of the site responds to your local time of day and greets you accordingly in multiple languages, with images that also match the time of day. Also accompanying the site is an open-source blog. This is actually a fairly small website, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in interest and passion. Oh, and it translates into German (with more languages to follow).SPEAK TO ROUGE ABOUT YOUR PROJECT...
